I am a Columbia University graduate with 10+ years of tutoring experience from Tampa, FL now living in NYC.

I began my tutoring journey in high school for family friends or students in lower grade levels. I fell in love with tutoring and helping others unlock their full potential. My tutoring journey continued into college, where I worked for my university’s Honor College and tutored other students in College Math and Chemistry courses.

After graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, I began graduate school to pursue my Master of Public Health at Columbia University. I started working full-time as a tutor outside of grad school courses. During this time, I worked for a company focused on SAT/ACT/PSAT Prep, where I was trained extensively on tutoring methodologies for these tests. I continued to tutor math and science subjects, but maintained a primary focus on SAT/ACT Prep due to requests at the time.

After working for this company for 3 years, I began working for several other companies part-time, where I had freedom and flexibility with my tutoring style to help students reach their goals. Eventually, I was fortunate enough to build a private client base and start my own tutoring business: Learning with Lauren K.

I have built a strong history of connecting with students and finding ways to help them understand and retain content across academic and test prep areas. I have helped hundreds of students reach their goals, and I can’t wait to help your student reach their full potential too!
